PBA STARS, NBA’S KEVIN LOVE TO PUT GAME FACES ON FOR MASTER GAME FACE ALL-STAR CHALLENGE

Master, the no. 1 face care brand for men, brings you the Master Game Face Challenge Year 2. Master Game Face All-Star Basketball Challenge will feature two all-star basketball teams led by two basketball superstars of this generation — Rain or Shine’s Chris Tiu and San Mig Coffee’s Marc Pingris. The game, scheduled on June 21, 7PM at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, will put select Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) players and collegiate all-star basketball players will surely be a more exciting match.  It will also feature NBA superstar and Minnesota Timberwolves Power Forward Kevin Love doing his signature moves alongside dunkers from the USA.

After 6 weeks of online voting where fans got to choose their top players, a draft for the top 12 players was held last June 7 to officially complete the pool of players under Team Chris and Team Marc.  From a pool of 30 PBA players, Tiu selected Ranidel De Ocampo, Jeff Chan, Larry Fonacier, Jimmy Alapag, Jeric Teng and Alex Nuyles to backstop UAAP and NCAA collegiate stars Jeron Teng, Chris Newsome, Kevin Ferrer, Mike Tolomia, Rome Dela Rosa, Mark Cruz, and Zach Nichols.

Pingris, on the other hand, chose Gary David, Mark Barroca, Mike Cortez, Jared Dillinger, Cliff Hodge and Paul Artadi to provide experience to his team composed of UAAP and NCAA standouts Andre Paras, Jeoffrey Javillonar, Jericho Cruz, Roi Sumang, Baser Amer, Kevin Racal, and Josan Nimes.

“With my draft picks and collegiate players, I’m very confident that we will prevail in our match-up with Team Marc, especially with our game faces on,” said Tiu.

“Lalong lumakas ang team namin sa mga nakuha kong fellow PBA players.  Excited na ako for our June 21 Master All-Star Challenge basketball game,” said Pingris.

Aside from the highly-anticipated match-up, the Master Game Face All-Star Basketball Challenge also promises basketball fans an equally thrilling halftime show courtesy of Minnesota Timberwolves’ star player Kevin Love who will be coming over to Manila for the first time.

The 6’10” power forward is set to appear during the event to display his signature basketball moves and outlet passing in a skills challenge. The 2012 NBA 3-point shootout champion will also slug it out with some of the PBA’s best shooters in a 3-point shootout. Joining him as well will be basketball slam dunkers from the US to bring a truly memorable and exciting basketball fest.

“We are excited to bring to the country three-time NBA All-Star player Kevin Love. Dubbed by the Associated Press as the new face of the Timberwolves franchise, we will see him put his Master game face on to electrify Pinoy basketball fans with his skills and signature moves to elevate Master Game Face to an even higher level this 2014,” said Jonathan Pua, Unilever Male Grooming brand manager.

In the NBA’s 2013-2014 regular season, Kevin Love garnered a career-high 26.1 points per game, dished an average 4.4 assists and grabbed 12.5 rebounds. He also became the first player in NBA history to record 2,000 points, 900 rebounds and 100 3-pointers in a single season.

A foreword and an apology in advance; this blog is mostly about technology and back up system. So for those who are not that familiar or savvy enough please bear with me.
Considering that every minute is precious in any company. More especially now in the computer age; Data are the source of success and considered before any decision making strategies are executed and ways of monitoring performance. So what would any company do when faced with system down time? No data’s can be retrieved, nor processed to the main servers. Orders or information are on hold.  Companies lose money on such stand still.
This is where the double take suite comes in. It’s a program for cloud replication, migration capabilities, and disaster recovery for most OS environments. This programs provides a near zero down time migrations without interrupting operations, protection and recovery of entire server or data for a combination of  virtual, cloud, and physical servers.
Sounds impressive especially for businesses that uses internet and have multiple chains or spans globally even on another country.
Ok this software is not for consumers like us, who wish to apply this at home. The target market is for Small Businesses, Mid and Enterprise level . This software is more ideal for Shared Services industry and technically which requires huge amount of data that travels from one place to the next via internet. Best part about this is it updates per byte and does not consume a lot of bandwidth on the net that might slow any operations.
Since the country right now is one of the leading place for BPO industry. This would not cost as much as any server setup that requires a lot of physical servers or space. This is the next step for any evolution and innovation in technology.

Now International Micro Village is the distributor of this authorized dealer of this great program. Which is already already 17 years in the business; offering the latest data and communication and information access equipment to the growing Philippine Information Technology market with a focus, through its association with Channel Partners, on Corporate Institutions, Small and Medium Business Segments and Government Units.

Burot Get Away

Feeling the need of a break from work and had just finished my defense grab the opportunity for an R&R.  Before going I made some research, ( thanks to other bloggers ) about the beach. True enough, The beach has been bought by SM but has not made any plans of renovating the place. A lot of caution was detailed that this beach is for people who can live the outdoors and can get by with out electricity.
Being challenged by this and seeing some photos I agreed to go to the place. So  preparations were made. What food to bring, what items to carry, and what have you’s that may be essential to the get away. I felt like a real camper that time ( and I haven’t camped in years).
It took two days of preparation and so we thought was all prepped up. Come the big day, We went to the  terminal where there are vans going directly to Calatagan batangas at 4:30 AM, (It’s on the back of Kabayan hotel roughly a few meters away). There were lots of passengers and we didn’t have to wait long to have the second van to arrive. It took only 30 mins waiting time before we were on the road. ( Fare for the  van is at 180pesos each person
We had a quick stop at Tagaytay to have a refill by  6 am. Reminds me of Baguio  especially the cold breeze. After that it’s all the way to Calatagan. A word of caution for guys planning to go there; Especially if you are commuting. Make sure you have enough cash and extra’s.  There are simply no Banks in the main town where you will drop off, The banks are on different towns and hours away from each other,
There is a talipapa or a small market in the town to buy all the foods or things you had forgotten to bring.  Make sure that you buy all the things in the market as the beach has only one store and prices are way high.  There are already tricycles in the market that will take you directly to the beach. It cost 75 pesos per person. The first part of the road is cemented while two thirds are still in undeveloped so expect a bumpy ride. AT the entrance an SM guard will provide you with guidelines and house rules. The sense of security is there. So finally we are at the beach. There is an entrance fee of 65 pesos if just for the day or 130  each person for spending the overnight.
The place as other people described it is really undeveloped. Literally, There are no hotels, no cottages, even electricity., All you have to is just running water and public bathrooms That’s it.oh, and the water is not that strong so expect a long queue in the baths and sink area for cleaning and bathing.  Being that we rented a tent for 400. They already increased the rent. By the time we arrived there. There were a lot of campers already. So we chose a quiet spot where we can  set up camp and enjoy the scene. The place has a scenic view and literally a place where one can really think. The place is hot as with all beaches but the ambience is nice. The water is clear and you can see  marine life in the bottom of the sea.  After setting up camp and having lunch. We took a tour on the beach. Even with all the people. There still is serenity in the place. It’s not so loud or as rowdy as other beaches. Even there are other people you will have a sense of privacy. We took shots on the area and at spent some time for a siesta. Wading is better than swimming as the sea floor is not gradually sloping down. But its like a plain so even if you go far ashore the water is still waist deep. And a lot plants you’ll walk on.
As the afternoon wore on there are more campers coming and setting up tents. By the time sunset came everybody is taking out cameras to capture the sunset. It’s a breath taking experience to see the sun gently and slowly setting till it’s dark.
Since there are no electricity. Entertainment is left for you to provide. Even if its’ hot on the day. Better prepare as it suddenly turn cold at night.
The following day is just as hot as ever. So after taking breakfast we decided to pack up and get back to the city.

Burot is definitely one should try at least once and a memory to keep. A good recommendation for people who like the outdoors and rough it up. But not so for those who are sensitive and used to electricity.

In a Nutshell

It's been months since i wrote on this blog. Truth be told I'm not a writer. I rather read and do stuff experience life then analyze. Store that knowledge and just look for the next thing i can experience. I'm also lazy especially in writing. I'd rather talk and tell it than write it all down. I rather go out and just look around than sitting down on my pc then writeyet here i am after almost three months Typing what i think.

To be honest i  had lots of time to write. I just don't have the drive to sit down and type. There are lots of things that is happening and convey my thoughts on the recent events. From the PDAF to Binay case. In order to avoid getting my hands in the pot i'd rather keep those opinions to myself rather than incite a long debate then an argument.

So why am I writing now. Since It's almost the year end and the just to look back on what happened this year. and try to learn from all the crazy ride that is called 2013.

Well i get laid off on my previous job for the first quarter this year. Then i got hood winked. Thank fully i still am floating now but not as high as before. Meet lots of people some stayed a lot got revamped.  I've been a support for my child hood friend. Been a jack of trades. trying to make ends meet. Played around and what have you.  Technically what a bachelor tends to do and had the year opposed to him.

With all this the thing i learned, Rise up. always rise up. It doesn't matter how many times you fall down. Its how many times you get back up. It makes you a better person. of course you should know the lessons its not a leson if one repeats the same mistake again.

For all those people who are still with me. I thank you. I know i do not show it. I appreciate you all. I just am always the lone wolf. Always there but never staying too long. I am better than what i am before. SO with that i Thank you.

Next year is goingto be  great ride so bette brace yourself. and make sure to saddle up
